Welcome to My Hubble Abode

Okay, so here we go. I am very green when it comes to "Hubbing". I have been blogging for years but never heard about Hub Pages until recently. I played around for a while, created a Hub Page, read and commented on other hubs, but have never seriously pursued becoming a dedicated "hubber". Hubber? Ha! That makes me laugh. It's certainly a fun word to say. I have so much to learn. I'm not even sure my lingo is accurate but I hope that will not be the case for long. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I find it somewhat confusing. There's so much to learn.

I haven't really set any "concrete" goals here. At this time, I'm still exploring the opportunity. I am a newly remarried mother of two adult children and stepmother to a 7 year old who lives out of state with her mother. I have a son in the Navy and a daughter in nursing school who just recently made me a grandmother for the first time. I do not work outside the home but I volunteer with a local organization that reaches out to women in rehabilitation who are suffering from the consequences of incarceration/addiction/abuse.

In addition to everything previously mentioned, I am an aspiring writer in the process of writing my first of three books that go together. These books all deal with ministry to single/divorced mothers and their children. The main focus is on mothers who have suffered a lifetime of abuse and neglect.

I am also a professional speaker with Stonecroft Ministries. Other activities I am involved in would be creating a new website, managing several blogs, and events planning for womens conferences. Wow, I'm exhausted just from writing it all down! Needless to say, I have to schedule time to experience boredom.

So, in the midst of all this chaos, I have decided that I don't have enough to do and have started a Hub page. If you think I need to get some counseling, I'm one step ahead of you! I have always been a firm believer in counseling. You don't have to be crazy or troubled to get counseling. Often, it is good to prevent getting to that point! Now that I have laid a foundation for my life's story (if only a weak one), I want to elaborate a little on what I hope to communicate through this Hub.

As a Christian, life has taught me one truth if not any others. God's thoughts and ways are not like ours. Over the years, I have seen this over and over. It is this teaching that has grown my faith and trust in God. It has set me free. It makes it possible for me to accept all circumstances knowing that even though I don't understand why, God does. He has a purpose for everything and He works everything out according to that purpose. Ultimately He is glorified and when He is glorified, I am blessed. He is omnipotent (all knowing) and far wiser than I can ever hope to become. So, I trust Him completely.

It is my hope through hubbing, to communicate what God has taught me about Himself through the twists and turns in life and how His way has always proven better than mine.

So, there you have it, my very first "official", very green Hub entry, (if that's even the proper terminology). I look forward to learning more about what I am doing here and consequently, at some point, I hope to feed the hungry something nourishing for their souls and create in them a great thirst for more.

I'm still "green" when it comes to understanding God's exact plan for me, but that doesn't mean I go to and fro, I more stay to the middle. ?

Wow, Thanks Yvette. I think they will be simply because of the terrible warfare I have been through trying to get it done.
